1. Introduction

TRIC Robotics Inc. (“TRIC Robotics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you visit tricrobotics.com and any other website, landing page, or online form that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Site”), and when you otherwise communicate with us.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect from growers, customers, partners, or vendors under a separate written agreement, or to the operational and field data generated by our robotic systems in the course of delivering services, which are governed by the applicable service or commercial agreement.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide to us

We collect the information you choose to give us, including when you:

  • Submit a contact or inquiry form. Typically your name, email address, telephone number, company or farm name, role, location or acreage, and the contents of your message.
  • Apply for a job through our Careers page. Your name, contact details, résumé or CV, work history, education, and any other information you include in your application or that we receive from a recruiter or job board.
  • Subscribe to updates, request materials, or register for an event or demonstration. Your contact details and stated interests.
  • Correspond with us by email, telephone, or social media, including any information contained in that correspondence.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our web servers and by cookies and similar technologies. This may include your IP address and approximate location derived from it, browser type and version, operating system and device type, screen and language settings, referring and exit URLs, the pages and content you view, the dates and times of your visits, and how you interact with pages and forms.

2.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from third parties, such as analytics and advertising providers – list the ones actually in use, e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, recruiting platforms, event organizers, business partners, referral sources, and publicly available or commercially available business-contact databases.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate, secure, measure, and improve the Site. Our consent management tool groups these technologies into the following categories:

  • Strictly necessary to deliver the Site and the features you request, including page delivery, security, load balancing, and language selection. These are always active.
  • Remember choices you make, such as your language or region, so the Site behaves the way you expect.
  • Help us understand how visitors use the Site in aggregate — which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they encounter difficulty — so we can improve it.
  • Used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and, where enabled, to show you TRIC Robotics content on other platforms.

You can accept, deny, or fine-tune non-essential categories at any time using the consent banner and the “Manage consent” or “View preferences” control on the Site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although parts of the Site may not function correctly if you do.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Web browsers may transmit “Do Not Track” signals, for which no common industry standard exists; state your position — e.g. “we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals”. We do treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal received from your browser as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser and device.

4. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following business purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries, provide requested information, and schedule calls, demonstrations, or field visits.
  • To evaluate, discuss, negotiate, and administer commercial relationships, including autonomous UV-C and Bug Vacuum treatment services.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site and our internal systems.
  • To analyze Site usage and measure the performance of our content and marketing.
  • To send you newsletters, company news, research updates, case studies, and other communications, where permitted by law or where you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time.
  • To evaluate job applications and manage our recruiting process.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other unlawful or prohibited activity.
  • To comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • For any other purpose disclosed to you at the point of collection or to which you consent.

5. How We Disclose Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose personal information as follows:

  • Service providers. Vendors that perform services on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using the information for their own purposes — for example website hosting, form processing, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics, cloud storage, recruiting, and professional services.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. Where you have consented to Statistics or Marketing cookies, certain identifiers and online activity may be shared with these partners. Under California law, some of this activity may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 9.
  • Entities under common ownership or control with TRIC Robotics.
  • Professional advisors. Attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, and similar advisors, subject to confidentiality obligations.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, personal information may be transferred as a business asset.
  • Legal and safety. Where we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of TRIC Robotics, our customers, our employees, or the public.
  • With your direction or consent. Including information you choose to make public, such as comments on our social media pages.

6. Third-Party Sites and Embedded Content

The Site links to and embeds content from third-party services, including YouTube videos, social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube), and news publications. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited that third party’s website, and the provider may collect information about you, set its own cookies, and track your interaction with that content. We do not control these third parties, and their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. We encourage you to review them.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to maintain our business relationship with you, and thereafter as needed to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Criteria we use to determine retention periods include the nature and sensitivity of the information, the status of our relationship with you, and applicable statutes of limitation. Insert specific retention periods once confirmed — e.g. inquiry records: 3 years; job applicant records: 4 years (California requirement); analytics data: 14 months.

8. Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any credentials you use in connection with our services confidential.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. It is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”). Terms used in this section have the meanings given to them in the CCPA.

Sensitive personal information. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you. If TRIC collects government identifiers, financial account numbers, or precise geolocation — for example during employee onboarding — describe that here.

9.2 Sale and sharing

We do not sell personal information in exchange for money, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16 years of age. However, where you consent to Statistics or Marketing cookies, our use of third-party analytics and advertising technologies may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, and in some interpretations a “sale,” under the CCPA. The categories potentially involved are Identifiers, Internet or network activity, Geolocation data, and Inferences, disclosed to advertising and analytics partners for marketing and measurement purposes.

To opt out, use the “Manage consent” or “View preferences” control on the Site to withdraw consent for the Statistics and Marketing categories, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, or contact us using the details in Section 13. Add a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the site footer if any sharing occurs.

9.3 Your rights

Subject to verification and to exceptions in the CCPA, California residents have the right to:

  • Know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it.
  • Delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to those uses permitted by the CCPA.
  • Not be discriminated or retaliated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised your rights.

9.4 How to submit a request

Submit a request by emailing timo@tricrobotics.com or writing to us at the address in Section 13. toll-free number – add or delete this line We will acknowledge your request within ten (10) business days and respond within forty-five (45) calendar days, with a possible extension of an additional forty-five (45) days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will notify you.

Verification. To protect your information, we must verify your identity before acting on a request to know, delete, or correct. We will typically ask you to provide information we already hold, such as the email address or telephone number you used to contact us, and to declare under penalty of perjury that you are the consumer whose information is at issue. We will only use the information you provide for verification purposes.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We may require the agent to provide written permission signed by you and may require you to verify your own identity directly with us, unless the agent provides a valid power of attorney under California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465.

9.5 Shine the Light

California Civil Code section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about the disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. You may direct any Shine the Light request to timo@tricrobotics.com

10. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights similar to those described in Section 9 under other state privacy laws, including the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We honor these requests where applicable law requires. Some states also give you the right to appeal a decision we make about your request; if we decline your request, we will explain how to appeal, and you may contact your state attorney general if you have concerns about the outcome. Use the contact details in Section 13 to exercise these rights.

11. Job Applicants

If you apply for a position with TRIC Robotics, we use the information you provide to evaluate your application, communicate with you, verify the information you have given us where permitted by law, and comply with employment-related legal obligations. We may retain your application for future openings unless you ask us not to. California applicants have the rights described in Section 9 with respect to this information, subject to the exceptions and limitations that apply to personal information collected in an employment context. Confirm whether background checks, assessments, or an applicant-tracking system are used, and describe them here.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a business audience and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

13. Visitors Outside the United States

The Site is operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If TRIC actively markets to or collects data from individuals in the EU, UK, or Canada, this Policy needs GDPR/UK GDPR/PIPEDA sections that are not included in this draft.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and post the revised Policy on this page. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice, such as a prominent statement on the Site or an email notification where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of the revised Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes.
