AgFunderNews journalist Elaine Watson caught up with TRIC Robotics Founder & CEO Adam Stager at the 2026 Ruggedize conference in Salinas, California, to discuss TRIC’s journey from early strawberry field trials to commercial-scale deployment.
Adam discusses TRIC’s Robotics-as-a-Service model, the company’s focus on solving real-world pest and disease challenges for strawberry growers, and how autonomous agricultural robotics can move beyond promising technology to become a practical part of commercial farming.
Today, TRIC’s autonomous fleet has treated more than 1,500 acres of California strawberries, using nighttime UV-C and Bug Vacuum technologies to help growers reduce chemical inputs while improving crop health and farm economics.
Watch Elaine’s conversation with Adam and learn more about TRIC’s continued growth in California strawberry production.
